ONE OF the largest sports clubs in the Winchester district is appealing for new sponsors from local business.

With a first XV recently promoted to London 2 South West and a mini and junior section with 1,200 members, the clubs asks: who better to associate your local company with?

A local club going from strength to strength is very reliant on sponsorship to achieve the clubs goals and make investments going forward.

With sponsorship packages starting at only £500, you are guaranteed good local area publicity and to be associated by a great solid local “brand”.

This season sees the introduction of the new WRFC Under-23 Academy, new coaching teams for the seniors, ladies and girls. Also the club hosts regional and County Mini and Junior festivals and hosts to the RFU National 7’s event at Easter.

All of these activities and events can be associated with Companies as main sponsors.

Club Treasurer and Sponsorship Manager Paul Rayner said: “Over recent times we have invested in the playing and clubhouse facilities at Nuns Road and without valuable support from sponsors, this would not be possible”

Club Chairman Steve Barrow and also one of the club sponsors echo’s Pauls words and urges any local companies that would like to sponsor or discuss sponsorship further should in the first instance contact the club secretary Ben Beavan at secretary@winchesterrugby.com
