A CHARITY event at a Winchester almshouse raised more than £10,500 for local charities as dozens of families gathered in the sunshine.
The annual Hospital of St Cross Fete saw around 2,000 people attend to browse the stalls and take part in activities.
Southampton Society of Model Engineers were on hand to provide train rides across the field.
Entertainment was provided by the Winchester Morris Men, 1st Chandler’s Ford Boys’ Brigade Band, Ukelele Band, and guests could also watch a traditional Punch and Judy show.
Many flocked to the food area, where teas, home-made cakes and ice cream were available throughout the day.
Funds raised will be used to support the Parish of St Faith, Go LD and Winchester Home Start.
The fete was sponsored by Carter Jonas estate agents and the refreshment stall by Shentons Solicitors.
