A MAN who stole hundreds of pounds worth of knives from Ikea has been ordered to pay compensation.
With an unnamed accomplice, Ionel Chisan stole the knives, worth £600, from Ikea in Southampton on January 20.
He also stole four duvet sets, worth £180, from the West Quay Road store six days later.
The 38-year-old, of Westbury Road, London, denied the charges, but was found guilty during a trial at Southampton Magistrates' Court.
He was give a six month conditional discharge and was also ordered to pay £600 in compensation.
