DOZENS of classic cars drove through the towns and villages of Hampshire before ending in Winchester as part of a new vintage event.

The Rotary Tour of Legends saw around 50 iconic models meet at the Alma Inn at Upham.

An assorted mix of well-presented classics, ranging from 1914 to 1975, completed the tour, which featured breakfast at Bill Rawles classic car restoration factory, lunch at Wellow Golf Club, and static displays at both Winchester Cathedral Close and Salisbury Cathedral.

Even the rain did not dampen the enthusiasm of spectators, with the event seeing hundreds of people turning out across the two cities.

All drivers paid to enter the tour along with donations from sponsors, raising £3,000 for Bishop’s Waltham Rotary.

The club will now donate the money between two charities, No Limits and The Society of St James.
