A MAN caught with a false tachograph record in Winchester has been given a suspended sentence.
Columbanus Monahan was stopped in the Hampshire city on May 21.
He was found to have a false Digital Tacograph Record and Drivers Card Record, which he knew or believed to be false.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, the 61-year-old admitted the two charges.
Monahan, of Cherry Park, Clones, Ireland, was given a 12 week sentence, suspended for 12 months.
He was also fined a total of £1,000, ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and an £85.
