A MAN has been banned from driving for three years after he was stopped by police on the M3.
Sean Anthony Graham, 22, was nearly twice the drink-drive limit when he was stopped near Winchester in his Ford Fiesta.
Graham, of Trewarden in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, gave a reading of 65 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Magistrates handed Graham, who was found guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, a community order, including a curfew. In addition to being banned from driving for three years, he was also ordered to pay £1,500 in court costs, and an £85 victim surcharge. He was also fined £100 for failing to stop for police. Both offences took place on February 2.
