HUNDREDS of children from local primary schools took part in Winchester City Council’s annual tri-golf festival at Winchester Golf Academy.
Otterbourne Primary School won the year 3/4 category, with South Wonston Primary School in second and Weeke Primary School finishing third.
Twyford Primary School won the year 5/6 category, with second place going to Harestock and Sparsholt taking third.
The winners and runners up will represent Winchester at the Hampshire School Games in June.
Many of the children involved in the competition had previously taken part in a council-run six-week tri-golf project at their schools, which introduced more than 3,000 pupils to the sport.
Cllr Frank Pearson, Mayor of Winchester, presented the awards to the winners and runners-up in one of the last engagements of his mayoral year.
