Llandudno cricket club welcomed officials to an evening taking acceptance of the defibrillator they have fund raised monies for at the club. evening.

David and Mandy Hawkins the outgoing Llandudno Mayor and Mayoress along with Miss Alice Carys Lambe, Councillor Louise Emery from Gogarth Ward and representatives from the Llandudno lions joined club officials, including president Tony Neville and club chairman John Rimmington.

The chief fund raisers also present - club members Jodie James and Carol Davies.

In speeches afterwards Jodie and Carol explained how they had raised the funds for the defibrillator and thanked members and the community for support.

Cllr Hawkins thanked the club and community for raising the funds , and emphasised all the good work going on in Llandudno and the importance of having a defibrillator available at the cricket club.

Earlier this week the defibrillator was put in place by Tomos Hughes the pads support officer who was welcomed by club members.

Tomos promoted training in the community for public access defibs.

The club purchased the equipment from Adrian Standewick, whose son is remembered via the Sam Standewick Memorial Fund of which monies are donated to buy defibs in the community.
