A MAN has been fined after going more than 20mph over the speed limit.

Angus Simmons, of Market Street, Eastleigh was caught speeding on the A34 southbound at Winchester on December 11.

Aldershot Magistrates' court heard the 42-year-old was caught doing 76mph on the 50mph road at its junction with the A33.

Magistrates fined Simmons £280, and ordered him to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

He also had six penalty points put on his driving licence.
