A MAN has avoided prison for possessing class A drugs with the intent to supply them at a major Hampshire festival.
Arthur Wear, of Kingsland Villas, Stroud, was ordered to carry out unpaid work when he appeared before Winchester Crown Court.
Wear had previously pleaded guilty to the offences involving MDMA and cocaine at last summer’s Boomtown Festival, near Winchester, when he appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
The 23-year-old was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment, suspended for 24 months, and ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.
