A SOUTHAMPTON shop is shut this morning after an armed robbery.
Emergency servies were called to the One Stop outlet in North East Road, Sholing, at 10.34pm on Tuesday.
Three people with their faces covered entered the store before one, who was brandishing a knife, threatened a staff member and stole the contents of the till and a large amount of cigarettes.
The tobacco products were put into large, white builder's bags.
The shop remains closed this morning and earlier in the day a police forensic van was parked outside.
A note on the door says: "Due to a major incident the shop will be closed until further notice.
"Sorry for the inconvenience."
