A WINCHESTER driver has been disqualified from the road for driving while over the alcohol limit.
Kurtis Roy James Brown, 27, of Hillier Way, Abbotts Barton, was stopped whilst driving a 64-reg Ford Focus on Beeches Hill, Bishop's Waltham, on March 3, a court was told.
His alcohol reading was 46 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35.
Brown admitted the charge when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court and was banned for 12 months, fined £250 and ordered to pay a£30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
The ban will be reduced by 13 weeks if he passes an approved course by October 18.
