ARTWORK by pupils at a Winchester school will go on display at Winchester Cathedral until the end of the month.

‘Inspired by our Cathedral’ is a collection of pieces designed by Kings’ School GCSE art students, using a range of media and artistic techniques.

The group visited the site over the summer and throughout the autumn term to research its history, and study the building by taking tours, photographs and sketches.

The Rev Canon Roland Riem, vice-dean and canon chancellor at Winchester Cathedral, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome so many talented pupils to Winchester Cathedral.

“This is our first collaboration with Kings’ School and we are astounded by the quality and variety of the artwork on display.

“The students have produced such thoughtful and exquisite work which will be very much appreciated by all who visit the Cathedral.”

‘Inspired by our Cathedral’ will be on display in the North Presbytery Aisle until March 31.

The exhibition is free to attend on admission to the cathedral.
