A TEENAGER caught drink-driving on a Southampton bridge has been banned from the roads.

Alex Bryant, 18, was stopped on Northam Bridge in January, while driving a silver Ford.

He was breathalysed by officers and the test revealed he had 110 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – meaning he was three times the limit.

Bryant, Dockdell Copse, Bursledon, admitted drink-driving.

He was handed a 12 month community order, including 100 hours of unpaid work.

He was also banned from driving for 24 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85.
