A TEENAGER was threatened with a knife by a man who demanded he hand over his bicycle.

The attempted robbery occurred between 6.30am and 7.30am on Thursday (March 14) on a footpath between Hawthorn Way and Winklebury Way near the former Fort Hill Community School site.

A 14-year-old boy, who was on a bicycle, was threatened by a man carrying a knife who told the victim to hand over the bike.

However, the boy cycled off and was not harmed during the attempted robbery.

Police have said enquiries are ongoing.
