A HAMPSHIRE care company has put on two days of pampering for its staff to thank them for their work.

Caremark Winchester and Eastleigh, an in-home care company put on the days as care manager Alina Conway MD Calum Gray wanted to “support the people who are always supporting others”.

Care workers were invited to book a slot with a qualified beautician, with manicures or massages available on the day. Caremark also offered to cover other treatments that couldn’t be administered in the office.

Calum and Alina helped beautician Kasey Engel-Gilmore – who is also a care worker – set up a temporary beauty salon at their head office in Portsmouth Road, Eastleigh.

Alina said: “It was so wonderful to see our care workers stop and take some time out for themselves – they truly deserve it.

“Our care workers are often so busy looking after clients and taking care of their families that they often forget to stop and enjoy some guilt-free ‘me-time’. So, we took the decision out of their hands, and told them we were treating them for a change.

“It’s something we plan to do again, in the not too distant future.”

Calum, who has owned Caremark Winchester and Eastleigh for 11 years, added: “Our reputation as one of the best in-home care providers in the area is maintained through the dedication and professionalism of our care team. I really couldn’t ask to work with better people.

“I wanted to do something special for them as they make such a difference in our community, and truly deserve the recognition for all that they do.”
