AN Alresford driver has been fined for speeding in the Itchen Valley.
Andrew Cliff, 60, of Basingstoke Road, Old Alresford, was recorded breaking the 30mph limit in a 02-reg VW on the B3047 at Itchen Stoke on August 3, Basingstoke Magistrates Court heard.
The court fined him £70 with a £30 victim surcharge and three penalty points added to his driving licence.
A charge of failing to tell police the identity of a driver believed to have committed an offence was withdrawn by the prosecution.
