WINCHESTER Hub volunteers held their annual LinkAges Tea Party last Wednesday at Winchester University bringing together senior members of the community with students over cups of tea and slices of cake.

Aaron Lee headed up the tea party supported by Lydia Green and Daniel Usher-Barrass and 14 volunteers from the Winchester Hub.

The local ward city councillor Jamie Scott was invited to this event and said: “I’ve been to a few of the LinkAges Tea Partys over the last few years, and they are always really enjoyable.

“Watching the young & old getting along very well and I have to say the Winchester Hub put on a brilliant afternoon of conversation & entertainment”.

A highlight of the tea party was the big quiz which enabled young and old to share cross generational knowledge.

The university is keen to promote these events to foster good relations with its neighbours near its main campus.
