A WINCHESTER man has been barred from going to a city road after attempting to force his way into a property.
Matthew Warren, 39, of Octavia Hill, Stanmore admitted using violence to try to get into a home in Pyle Gardens, Barton Farm, on January 20.
Warren also admitted sending a threatening text message to a woman, possession of cannabis and breaching a conditional discharge.
Magistrates in Basingstoke imposed a community order for him to attend a 32-day building better relationships programme as well as doing 60 hours unpaid work over the next 12 months.
A restraining order was also imposed banning Warren from contacting a woman or going within 100m of Pyle Gardens.
He was also ordered to pay an £85 victim surcharge and £25 costs.
