A STORYTELLING and craft session will be held at Bishop’s Waltham Library in Free Street this Saturday, February 16.

Visitors will join local author Anne Wan for a reading of her third children’s book, Secrets of the Snow Globe.

Anne will also stay afterwards for a book signing.

Craft activities will be held following this.

The event, starting at 10.30am, will be run as a drop-in, and is free to enter.

RURAL Running will be holding their Wickham 20 run on March 31.

This will be a 20-mile traffic-free course around the roads to the north of Wickham.

The race is aimed at runners from across the south, as a training run for the spring marathon season.

This is aimed particularly at those running in the Virgin Money London Marathon.

BISHOP’S Waltham Gardening Club will host an exclusive talk in March.

Speaker Kelvin Mason will entertain the audience at the meeting by giving tips on the subject of ‘soil care and improvement.’

The talk is suitable for people of all experiences and will explain how to save money and time whilst gardening without sacrificing quality of produce.

It will be held at Bishop’s Waltham Junior School in Oak Road on March 27.

Doors are to open at 7.15pm and members can enter for free.

Visitors can pay £2 on the door.

Refreshments will be available and a raffle will be held.

Members are also advised to bring their entries for the Members Spring Show.

CHAIRMEN of the Bishop’s Waltham North Pond Conservation Group have collaboratively written a book about the ten-year restoration project at North Pond.

Current chairman of the group, Andy Inder, worked with his predecessor, Dr Barry Jerome, to recall from when work first started, to the site’s official reopening last year.

Restoration of the Bishop’s Waltham North Pond can be purchased for £8.50 from three stores in Bishop’s Waltham - Best Wishes, Studio 4 Gifts, and Julia’s Kitchen.

YOGA classes are to be held in Wickham.

They will be hosted this Sunday, February 17 at 12.30pm, and Monday, February 18 at 2pm, both at The Yoga Shed in The Square. Each session will cost £15 per person.
