TIME is starting to run out to get tickets for the latest show by Alresford Community Theatre Society.

The Wizard of Oz is on at Perins School from Thursday February 21 to Saturday February 23, at 7.30pm. There will also be a matinee on Saturday at 2pm.

Tickets are £12 for adults and £8 for those aged 16 years and under.

A HAMPSHIRE choir are in the process of producing a CD of their music to sell to raise funds for the new Ark Cancer treatment centre.

Basingstoke Hospital Male Voice Choir will be performing a concert in St John the Baptist Church, Alresford, on Saturday February 23 at 7.30 pm.

Members of the public are invited to join the congregation.

There is no entrance fee but there will be a retiring collection that will be donated to St John The Baptist Church.

ST JOHN the Evangelist church in Northington is staging an organ recital next month.

The Friends of St John’s is organising the programme of music by Claudia Grinnell, assistant organist since 2017 at Winchester Cathedral, on the church’s 1890 Charles Martin organ on Saturday March 16 at 7pm.

Tickets are £10 to include refreshments.

Proceeds will go to Breast Cancer Care and the Friends of St John’s which is fund-raising for building restoration and an overhaul of the organ.

REHEARSALS are gearing up for the forthcoming show by Ropley Dramatic Society.

The play will be on Friday March 15 at 8pm in Ropley Parish Hall when the society presents A Murdery Mystery Evening starting with a ‘Who-dun-it’ which the audience will be asked to solve during supper.

The company will then act out the denouement later in the evening.

ROPLEY Horticultural Society are hosting an illustrated talk on Monday February 25 at 7.45pm.

The Cape Floral Kingdom, an illustrated talk, will be by Vince Gradwell.
