CONWY Freewheelers Adapted Cycling Club have benefitted from a donation by the Colwyn Bay Rotary Club of a new adapted cycle for use at their regular club sessions.
The Freewheelers are an inclusive cycling club who offer the opportunity for people of all abilities, including those with learning, sensory and physical impairments to enjoy and benefit from regular cycling.
The cycle, which was donated by the Rotary Club, is a trike with extra seating support and specialist pedals.
The Freewheelers Club say they are "delighted" with the new trike and it has already proved to be "very popular" with the riders at their sessions.
The club have a range of adapted cycles including hand cycles, a side by side bike for two people and a bike featuring a front mounted wheelchair.
The Freewheelers run regular sessions based at Eirias Park on Sunday afternoons. To find out more about the club you can visit their Facebook page “Conwy Freewheelers Adapted Cycling Club” or email benlightowler2@yahoo.co.uk.
