Police have launched a hunt for a missing woman in at a Hampshire beauty spot.

Officers are  searching for the woman described as  'vulnerable' in Warsash.

Fareham officers are looking in the Bunny Point area of Warsash, for a woman who is believed to be missing from a local address.

Specialist search and rescue officers are currently on the scene of the search for the woman, who has not been named.

Fareham Police revealed their search on social media.

A post on twitter said: "Local officers are currently out in Warsash looking for a vulnerable female believed to be missing from a local address."

Meanwhile coastguard teams appealed for any help in finding the woman.

The Hillhead Rescue Coastguard Team said: "Bunny point area of Warsash is very muddy and surrounded by coastal water.

"If the public see anyone they have a concern for please dial 999 and ask for the coastguard or police.

"We have specialist search & rescue officers trained for this environment.

"Hope they're found soon."
