POLICE have launched an appeal to track down a gang who left a teenager with a broken nose and fractured cheekbone after an alleged attack in Winchester city centre.
The incident took place outside the Discovery Centre library in Jewry Street at around 11pm on Saturday January 19.
The 19-year-old victim said he was assaulted by three men he did not know and sustained facial injuries.
Officers say the three men were between 20-25-years-old. The first was described as Asian, of slim build and wearing a long, light-coloured jacket.
The other two men were described as being white and overweight.
Detective Constable Matt Chapman said: “Were you out in Winchester city centre that night?
“Perhaps you remember seeing a confrontation in Jewry Street at around 11pm? Or do you remember seeing three men together that matched the descriptions given?
“If so, we would like to hear from you. Any information could help our investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference number 44190023155.
