THOUSANDS of vegans and inquisitive foodies descended on Winchester Guildhall at the weekend as a Hampshire group held its first vegan festival to coincide with ‘Veganuary’.
Romsey Vegan Fair organised stalls for a range of businesses centred around a vegan lifestyle – including one selling vegan beard oil.
Held on Sunday, queues were seen outside the Guildhall, alongside a giant inflatable cow to promote the event.
In a post on the group’s Facebook page, a spokesman for Romsey Vegan Fair said: “Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported us, and to those who supported in so many different ways.
“Today went swimmingly well - far better than expected.
“It’s put us in a very positive place for the future.”
They added: “It was a great success and we managed to raise not only awareness but a great amount for Trinity Winchester.”
