A MAN who dangerously interfered with a car in Kings Worthy has been banned from the village for two years.
Gregor Iain Anderson, 39, was initially charged with causing a Ford KA to crash on London Road on December 1, "in such circumstances it would have been obvious would have been dangerous."
That charge was withdrawn by prosecutors and replaced with one of interfering with a car dangerously.
Anderson, 39, of no fixed abode, whose address was given as c/o Two Saints Day Centre, Millbrook Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to the alternative charge and was fined £40 with an order to pay £159 compensation.
He also admitted criminal damage to a window valued at £500 belonging to South East Guardians in Church Lane, Kings Worthy, on the same day, December 1.
Magistrates in Basingstoke fined him £20 and ordered he pay £200 compensation.
They imposed a restraining order that prohibits Anderson from going to Kings Worthy until December 22 2020.
For failing to attend court on December 19 he was fined another £40.
