A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man on Christmas Eve.
The 35-year-old, from Micheldever, was initially arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
It follows an assault in the car park of The Cricketers Pub, in Tadley, at around 8.35pm on December 22.
Tributes have been paid to the victim, Peter Bradfield, 53, of Long Grove, Baughurst, who was rushed to hospital with a head injury but later died.
Mr Bradfield’s partner Melanie Griffiths said: “We have lost a much-loved son, father, exceptional step-dad and partner. Needlessly taken too soon. Our hearts are broken.”
The suspect from Micheldever has since been bailed until March 24.
A 16-year-old Reading boy was also arrested on suspicion of affray. He has also been released from police custody on bail until January 23.
