WINCHESTER-based dog walking business Happy Hounds, recently won the coveted Dog Walker of the Year award at this year’s national PIF (Pet Industry Federation) awards.

The company based in Chilcomb has been providing dog walking in the city for four years, and in that time has grown to become one of the largest dog care businesses in the area.

The firm which operates from a doggy day care centre on the outskirts of Winchester, has five full time professionally qualified and canine first aid trained dog walkers, all of whom have use of modern dog carrying vans; a regular sight in the city.

Happy Hounds has always prided itself on its high level of service, and with the team being dog owners themselves, they understand their client’s needs.

Emily Walden, founder of Happy Hounds, said: "I wanted the business to be a household name in Winchester with the number of local dog walkers increasing, I sought to set our company apart by offering a bespoke service focusing on the varying needs of our four legged customers."

Emily has expanded the company in to a one-stop canine shop, by offering a wide range of services such as doggy day care, boarding, grooming, and even selling raw dog food; which they deliver locally.

With the requirement for canine care on the rise, Happy Hounds is looking forward to another busy year in 2019 as it works on introducing new services and growing its client base.
