WINCHESTER Cathedral opens its doors next month to give the public a behind the scenes look at the work of the great building.
The free open evening will be on Tuesday January 29 starting at 6.30pm following Evensong.
There is a rare chance to see the nave without chairs, as it would have been in the Middle Ages.
Visitors will be able to meet staff such as the stonemasons, flower arrangers, bell ringers and 'holy dusters'.
They can also go on guided tours including the tower
