POLICE have launched an attempted murder probe after sealing off a home in Eastleigh.
Officers have set up a cordon around a home in Heinz Burt Close this morning.
A police car is also parked outside the house.
Now police have revealed they have arrested three people following what they describe as a 'serious assault' in which a man was injured.
They say a 23-year-old man, from Winchester, was found inside an address with a serious head injury at around 10.15pm last night (December 21).
The man was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where his condition is currently described as life-threatening.
His next of kin have been informed.
A 17-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman, both from Eastleigh, have both been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
A 48-year-old man, from Bursledon, has been arrested on suspicion of GBH.
Police say they all remain in custody at this time.
Officers will be carrying out house-to-house enquiries in the area.
It comes as one resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said a woman was heard screaming and a man was arrested.
An ambulance was seen outside the property, as well as police officers.
Another resident said: "We walked out and I just saw blood everywhere.
"I could just see blood I didn't know where it was from."
