A MIXED-use development in Winchester city centre has welcomed its first office letting prior to completion.

Wealth management company Brewin Dolphin will occupy a newly-refurbished office at Sunley House, located above Turtle Bay on the junction of Jewry Street and St George’s Street.

The lease was secured by the office advisory team of LSH and Goadsby, acting on behalf of the landlord, and JLL, who acted for Brewin Dolphin.

Allan Pickering, divisional director at Goadsby, said: “After substantial investment, Sunley House has become an example in how to achieve exceptional results refurbishing commercial space in the heart of Winchester, to satisfy the continued demand for quality office space.

“The office space has attractive cityscape views and we continue to receive a good level of interest in the remaining first floor space that extends to 3,751 sq ft and would suit a similarly expanding business in need of flexible open plan city centre space.”

The first floor of the building, covering 3,751 square feet, is still available and has attracted significant interest from potential occupiers.

Andy Hodgkinson, director for the South Coast team of LSH, said: “Sunley House has undergone huge refurbishment, both internally and externally, over the past year following major investment by the landlord.

“The development is now one of the finest contemporary offices in Winchester.

“The letting has been secured prior to refurbishment works being completed - and this just shows the confidence in this renovation project and Winchester as a great place to do business.

“The city continues to be a highly-desirable location and a key factor in this success is the university and excellent road and rail links.

“With easy access to the historic city centre, an abundance of natural light and cityscape views, we are sure Sunley House will provide a fantastic working environment.”

Adam Jarvis, divisional director at Brewin Dolphin Winchester, said: “Winchester is a prosperous city within a relatively short distance of Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, and other thriving towns on the South Coast.

“Our new larger office at Sunley House will provide the perfect base for our continued growth.”
