THE first headliner for next year’s B Love festival has been announced and has an electronic feel to it.

One of the musical masterminds behind the multi-million selling Faithless, Sister Bliss will be performing a DJ set at next year’s two-day event.

Sister Bliss who has become a firm festival favourite, will be appearing on the Saturday and will be performing Faithless’ top hits including ‘Insomnia’, ‘God is a DJ’ and ‘We Come 1’.

Tickets are now on sale for the two-day event, which signals the end of the Basingstoke Festival.

This year B LOVE will bring more than 70 live music acts, family entertainment and art in unusual places in War Memorial Park on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July.

More details about the Sunday headliner along with the fantastic line-up of acts, including other stage headliners at B LOVE, which is funded by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and programmed by the B LOVE Music Forum, will be announced soon.

Cabinet member responsible for arts and heritage at the borough council Cllr Terri Reid said: “Together with the forum I’m very excited to be able to announce the first act performing at B LOVE.

“Over the next few months we’ll be revealing our full line-up of acts including local and national artists, giving Basingstoke-born performers a unique platform to showcase their work.

“With a mix of music genres, family entertainment and an impressive display of art in unusual places, there really is something for everyone at next year’s festival.”
