A CHANDLER’S Ford school is selling Christmas trees as part of a festive fundraising event.
The Hiltingbury Schools Parent Teacher Association (HSPTA) has teamed up with local grower John Fairey, of Meon Valley Christmas Trees, to sell the firs as part of their Christmas Fair on December 1.
Entertainment will be provided by the Michelmersh Silver Band and the school choirs and there will be an array of stalls and activities, including a visit to Santa’s Grotto.
Commercial sellers will also be at the fair providing Christmas gifts with refreshments provided in the café.
A raffle will also be staged with top prizes including meals out and entry to local attractions.
Liz Dodd, member of the organizing committee, said: “We hope there will be something for everyone at our fair, from Christmas trees to pocket money presents, a visit to the grotto and the chance to win a great prize in our raffle. "We value the support of our local community and look forward to welcoming them on Saturday."
Entrance to the fair is £1, under threes are free.
Nordman Firs are available from £25 if pre-ordered through the HSPTA website and will be available for collection on either November 30, December 1 and December 14.
They will also be on sale during the Christmas fair itself.
