A MAN drink driving was caught by police near his home and has been banned from the road.
Brett William Collett, 23, of Searles Close, Alresford, was stopped on Jacklyns Lane, in the town on September 21.
His alcohol reading was 111 micrograms in 100 millilitres of blood, when the legal limit is 80 micrograms.
Collett admitted the charge, when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £400 with a £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
The ban will be cut by 91 days if he passes and approved course by June 14 2019.
