THREE people have been charged with various offences following a knife alert near a Hampshire school.

Officers were called to Boyatt Lane in Otterbourne at about 3.12pm on November 20 following reports that someone was seen carrying a knife near Thornden School.

Teachers at the school wrote to parents to advise them of the incident.

Nobody was injured.

Mitchell Reynolds, 19, of no fixed abode, was charged with possession of a blade in a public place.

Sapphire Jane White, 20, of The Polygon, Southampton, was charged with possession of blade in a public place and possession of a controlled class B drug.

A 17-year-old boy from Southampton was charged with possession of blade in a public place.

They added that nobody was hurt in the incident which took place on November 20 at 3.12pm.
