A FOUR Marks man is due to appear at crown court in connection with the death of a cyclist.
Brian John Cole, 64, of Pine Road, Four Marks, Alresford, is accused of causing death by careless driving whilst unfit through drugs of Stephen Phillip Turner, whilst driving a 60-reg black Peugeot 207 on A31 at Four Marks on November 18 2016. There is an alternative charge of death by careless driving.
The case is due to be heard at Winchester Crown Court on November 21.
Cole is on unconditional bail.
Mr Turner, 61, of Thorpe Gardens, Alton, was cycling east along the dual carriageway at around 5.45pm on November 18, when the collision happened. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
