TWO robberies took place by a gang of four people in Winchester on the same day.
Hampshire Constabulary have reported that the incidents took place on Thursday October 18.
In the first, a 52-year-old man was hit over the head with a bottle and had his bag containing £185 at some point between 6pm and 9pm on Blue Ball Hill.
A spokesperson from police said: "He was then punched in the face and stomach.
"One of the suspects was believed to be between 20 and 30-years-old.
"They all headed off in the direction of Alresford Road. The victim approached unknown people outside Wessex Hotel who called ambulance – he was taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital at about 10pm."
Two hours later, another man, 38, was robbed of £450 in Worthy Lane. He sustained facial bruising and a suspected broken nose.
