THOUSANDS of revellers are set to descend on a Southampton park this weekend for a spooky Halloween-themed house music festival.

Elrow, famous for its Ibiza nightclub events, is bringing its Horroween event to Mayflower Park from 1pm to 11pm tomorrow.

Thousands of partygoers will get to enjoy a day of derelict haunted houses, disturbing dance floors and petrifying graveyards, alongside party zombies, fleeing priests and bewildering monsters.

Above Bar Street Nightclub Switch has teamed up with Elrow and decided to take this event outdoors with a 10-hour daytime extravaganza.

Elrow is an award-winning experiential event concept and party series founded in 2010, playing in legendary Club Florida 135 in Spain, and organisers say Saturday’s event will have the most exciting sounds in electronic music, mixed with a lot of bustling action.

Headlining the day will be masked German DJ Claptone, whose popular remix of Gregory Porter’s Liquid Spirit has been listened to millions of times on Youtube.

Claptone’s identity is unknown, as his attire consists of a golden-beaked mask and white gloves.

His 2015 album Charmer features lyrics from multiple indie bands and singer-songwriters including Peter Bjorn and John, Jay-Jay Johanson and Boxer Rebellion’s Nathan Nicholson among others.

This year the DJ released a new 13-track album Fantast, which also features lyrics from Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke, indie band Blaenavon and electronic band Austra’s Kate Stelmanis.

UK DJ Melé will also be performing his tribal-inspired music comes from his own fascination with Brazillian beats and hip hop and classic house music. The man from Wirral started DJing at the age of 13 and released his tribal anthem Ambience in 2015.

Young Southampton DJ Ronnie Spiteri, who made his name performing in former Southampton nightclub Junk, will be performing in front of a home crowd once again, performing back-to-back with Collective States.

Ibiza-based Spanish DJ Marc Maya, who normally performs every Saturday with Elrow at the “best club in the world” for the last 4 years, Space Ibiza, will be performing his techno and drum and bass rhythms.

Joining these acts is Italian upcoming Tech-house and techno stars Eddy M, plus his special guest Fisher, as well as German techno DJ Tom Clark.
