FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Winchester shopping centre after an alarm sparked an evacuation.
The Brooks Shopping Centre, which has entrances on both Middle Brook Street and Upper Brook Street was evacuated after an alarm went off, but people are now being allowed back in.
A spokesman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were called to the shopping centre to investigate an alarm at 3.10pm, although it is not clear if there was a fire.
One crew from Winchester Fire Station attended.
The cause of the alarm has not yet been revealed
