THE Whiskey Affair is coming to the Winchester Guildhall on September 22.

This exciting event is aimed at fans of scotch, bourbon, whiskey or cocktails.

Coming on the back of successful events in London, Southampton, Reading and Brighton, The Whiskey Affair is a lively night out for fans to discover new brands and blends.

It will split the Guildhall into four sections: scotch, bourbon, whiskey and cocktails.

The festival started in London three years ago and promises its biggest year yet in 2018.

It originated from a simple idea – to allow people to comprehensively explore the world of whisky.

Alongside live music and representatives from the brands of the whiskey stalls, tasting sessions and free samples will be scattered around.

An array of ‘moonshines’ from one of London’s favourite distilleries will also be on offer.

People without a passion for whiskey can still enjoy the night by sampling cocktails from the significantly large cocktail menu.

An organiser from the event said: “Back when we started our affair, we had so many friends who were knowledgeable about different whiskeys and were often lost as to where to start.

“We wanted to dip our toes into the differences and similarities within the brands and learn to judge which finishes and ages suited our tastes more and have a good night at the same time.”

Two separate events will be taking place at the Guildhall.

The first will be between 1pm and 5pm and the second between 7pm and 11pm.

Tickets cost £9 each and can be booked from The Whiskey Affair website.
