A SOUTHAMPTON man has had a case withdrawn 18 months after he was convicted.
Jonathan Walker, 40, had been convicted of assaulting by beating Elizabeth Raffles, Christopher Franks and Jennifer Gibbons in Winchester on December 9 2016.
The following month Mr Walker, then of Stonemasons Court, Winchester, was jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months.
But at Basingstoke Magistrates Court the case was reopened and the conviction and sentence was set aside.
The court heard that at the time Mr Walker, now of The Polygon, Southampton, had been mentally unfit to face the charges.
