BOGDAN Bara thought he was saving money not having any motor insurance.
But instead he will have to pay more than £800 after he was caught with no cover.
Bara, 28, of Stockbridge Road, Fulflood, Winchester, was stopped by police in a VW Golf on the A34 on November 18, a court heard.
Magistrates in Aldershot fined him £660, with a £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs and six penalty points on his driving licence.
Bara was not present in court and the charge was proved under the single justice procedure.
