POLICE are on the scene of a serious crash near Winchester.
Officers are dealing with the incident, on the A31, between Winchester and Alresford.
Police say the eastbound carriageway is currently closed between the Percy Hobbs Roundabout and the junction with Rodfield Lane.
The road could be closed for 'a few hours', according to police.
Drivers are being advised to avoid the area if possible.
