WAITROSE in Romsey is inviting local charities and groups to participate in its community matters scheme, which sees £1,000 shared between three good causes every month.
Customers vote for the groups through their shop, using a green token to place in a box of the cause they want to support.
The more tokens a charity of group receive, the more money they are given. This month, Waitrose is supporting Youth Option, Romsey Town Youth FC and Romsey Bowling Club.
Steve Corbett, branch manager at Waitrose Romsey, said: "We are really keen to ensure we continue to play our part in the community and support those causes that matter most to local people.
"We are very proud to have helped some incredible causes including children's charities, support grants, volunteer-run organisations and local sports clubs, and would encourage any local project or charity to contact us."
The store also provides staff volunteering hours through its Community Matters 'partner volunteering' scheme.
This has seen volunteering at the Appletree Centre and a local youth centre, along with supporting other events.
