HUNDREDS flocked to Kings Worthy to enjoy a day of fun.

The Spitfire Sisters were the star attraction at this year’s Kings Worthy church and village fete.

The group performed from their repertoire of 1940s and modern songs with a vintage twist.

And those who attended the event on Monday could not have asked for better weather.

Basking in the sunshine, residents had the chance to enjoy the fete’s entertainment, which this year included a display of Maypole dancing by the youngsters at Winchester Theatre Arts, plus music from Amanda Parsons.

Classic cars and campervans were also on display and The Worthys WI, who celebrated their 100th birthday this year, put on a special exhibition in St Mary’s Church.

There was also be face painting, egg and spoon and sack races, and fairground rides, plus the usual summer fair stalls and refreshments.

Meanwhile fairground rides, football tournament and crafts entertained the youngsters.
