A HAMPSHIRE man has past the half way point of his 21 marathon challenge, despite the Beast from the East getting in the way.
John Sennett, from Southampton, set out with the goal of completing 21 marathons over 21 days at Winchester Sports Stadium earlier this month to raise money to tackle Crohn’s disease and colitis.
John said: “With the recent snowfall, two marathons have had to be postponed, but it’s not stopping me from completing the challenge.
“My sister Rosemarie was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the age of 19, and two years later, suffered a stroke. This challenge is really to tell her story, and to use my influence to help make an impact.
“There’s no current cure for the illness. Yet, I have a target of £21,000 to help find a cure.”
John began his challenge on March 10. So far he has raised more than £800.
