NINE-YEAR-OLD Ross Hunter (pictured) won his second successive tennis Tournament at the Denmead Tennis Club off the back of his maiden tournament victory just 11 days previously.
Ross plays in the Don Perrin Tennis coaching system based at Perrins Community School, Alresford, and is coached by head Coach Martin Terrill.
Ross won his first tournament in an LTA Green Event at the ROKO leisure Centre, Portsmouth. Hunter continued his success as he battled past the field at the Denmead Tennis Club.
The win highlighted exciting times for the local tennis community as the Perrins year 7 & 8 girl's team defeated Portsmouth Grammar School in the County Schools Final. All four players are coached by Don Perrin Tennis.
Other exciting news is the resurfacing of all-three courts and the addition of new pavilion at Alresford Tennis Club, which is to be done in September this year.
Finally, as this academic year ends, Don Perrin Tennis will enter a new era next year, celebrating ten years of Community coaching in April 2008.
