Four Professionals tied for first place in Basingstoke Golf Club's Centenary Pro-Am on Sunday (29/7).

Ben Cummings, Alasdair Hay, Steve Cowle and Eddy Rawlings all shot two-under-par rounds of 68 in the Webbers Jaguar sponsored Tournament.

For Cummings it was a first taste of success as a Pro, while for Cowle it was a second victory in less than 48 hours, coming after his success on Friday in the Rotary Club Pro-Am at Stoneham. In between time he had travelled to Exeter to attend Jon Le Roux's wedding.

Ben Johnson and Philip Bryden shared fifth place while another performance of note came with a level par score of 70 by East Horton's Kelly Travers, which earned her a share of seventh place.

The Pro-Am was won by Tidworth Garrison's Charlie Gold and his team of Esther Baker, Andy Palmer and Ian Whyte. They pipped Roger Tuddenham's team of Di Holt, Colin Stoker and Roy Allum after a countback. Third place went to Dummer's David Holman and his team of Alan Brett, Rod Dixon and Chris Bird.

Fifty-one teams took part in the Tournament, which was sponsored by Webbers Jaguar and organised by Paul Knight.

Early indications are that the Club Captain Bob Randall's nominated charities benefited by almost £5,000.00. These included Naomi House, The North Hampshire Medical Fund and the Prostate Project Foundation.
