RESIDENTS and councillors in Alresford will have their say on plans for major development in the town.

A planning meeting to discuss 320 homes and 3.4 hectares of employment land and public open space in land east off Sun Lane will take place on July 24.

The proposed development by Seaward Properties could shape the future of Alresford, and it includes 40 per cent affordable housing and an all-moves roundabout from the A31 and the realignment of Sun Lane and additional school facilities including a 'Park and Stride'.

The meeting will take place at the Alresford Town Council Offices at Alresford Recreation Centre at Arlebury Park at 7pm.

Winchester City Council will make a decision about the scheme in the coming weeks.
