Hampshire League County Division 3.

Bishops Waltham (83 all out) lost to Longparish (136 all out).

Longparish continued their promotion push on a damp, uncovered surface at Albany, leaving the home side without a win since the opening day of the season.

Rob Bailey won the toss and inserted the visitors who slumped to 58 for 7, before enterprising batting from Martinez, who ended unbeaten on 46 and Clarke (20) allowed them to post what proved to be a winning total of 136.

The Waltham seam attack of Boston (2-37) and Mills (2-33) prospered with Dave Oddie (2-20) also pulling his weight in a rare spell with the ball, with former Hambledon man Dan Wheeler (3-37) the pick of the attack.

Wakefield (3-15) then ripped out the home top three, and with the exception of Ashley Mills (22) and Ben Simpson (12) the Waltham batting line up again made little impression with extras (12) joint second top scorer.

Blackmore (3-19) and Bonathan (3-21) wrapped up a 53 run win to maintain Longparish's top six berth.

Longparish's only defeat came as they failed by one run to chase down Purbrook II's mammoth 286, while by contrast Waltham are ruing rained off games against Steep and Sulhamstead.

Upcoming games against Andover, Havant, Amport, Whitchurch and next week's trip to Kingsclere will determine their fate in the relegation dogfight.
